WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME………………?
-
you invited and encouraged a kid in our church (one of your own, a grandchild, a neighbor, a friend) to attend Red Willow Bible Camp? If they are a member of our church, the camper will pay $75 for a deposit and Trinity Church and TLCW will pay the rest of the camp fee! What a good deal! What a chance to change a life!
-
you’ve been to Red Willow Bible Camp? Our church is one of the owners of it, so stop out sometime and see what this ministry is all about. On May 12 we’re going to go out there and help clean up the Chapel. Will you join us?
-
you invited a friend or neighbor to come to worship at our church? If they attend another church, that’s great. If they don’t, maybe they’re waiting for an invitation or maybe they need a gentle, loving reminder of how important church and a living relationship of faith in Jesus truly is.
-
you thanked a Sunday School teacher for teaching or an usher for ushering or a lay reader for reading, or a musician for sharing their gift of music in the church? A kind word of thanks goes a long way. We need all those who help share the faith to do so as well as they do, or else the church wouldn’t be what it could become.
-
served a coffee hour at church? Some do so regularly and we very much appreciate their service. Would you consider taking a turn? There are those who will teach you what to do and help you get started. It can be a fun thing for a family to work on together.
-
you said “I love you” to a loved one?
-
you came to church, or for two Sunday’s in a row, or for a month of Sunday’s consecutively? I believe God likes to see you in church.
-
the last time you got down on your knees to pray? A person doesn’t have to pray on their knees, but it is a time-honored tradition for Christians, and very humbling to bow down before God. Whatever helps you to talk to God is good. He wants to hear from you.
Did you know that the last time God thought of you was the previous second before you read this sentence? Did you know that God loves you forever and ever with all his heart? With us, who are finite human beings, there will always be a last time for everything, but with God, who is eternal there will never be a last time. God has always loved you, and he always will. You can count on it.
Peace be with you as you remember
Christ is risen. He has arisen indeed!
