Children and Youth

We have various programs and activities for kids and youth here are Trinity Lutheran Church. The Board of Education oversees most of the activities of kids and the youth in the church.

Building Lives Around Spiritual Truth (B.L.A.S.T.) is open to all kids ages 4 years to 6th grade. Classes are Wednesdays 6:30-7:45pm in the sanctuary and fellowship hall.

Every fall the congregation presents a Bible to every 3rd grader as a gift during a special service.

First Communion classes are offered to 5th graders with their "First Communion" on a Sunday during Lent.

New Life is a group for 9-12 graders. The group hang out once a month for activities like games, and even out-of-town trips.

Every summer, the TLC along with various area churches host the Vacation Bible School for kids in the community.

A three-year Confirmation education program is offered any 7th-9th grade in the community.

The youth enjoy different activities in Lutheran Youth and New Life groups with parents as hosts and advisors.

Nursing Home Ministry

Golden Acres Manor is a 64-bed skilled nursing facility located in Carrington, ND. Trinity Lutheran Church holds services regularly there, with communion, for members who are not able to travel to church. Residents of different denominations are also welcome.

What is a Prayer Chain? Think of yourself as a link in God's love called to pray for one another.

Prayer Requests may originate with the pastor or the Prayer Chain Coordinators.

Parish Nurse Ministry

The Parish Nurse Ministry is an essential part of our work to care for members and the community. The Parish Nurse, with the Sunshine Ministry, does hospital, nursing home and home visitations. Health maintenance and educational events are also conducted throughout the year. The ministry facilitates different donation drives such as Red Willow tent, back-to-school, angel tree/State Hospital, loaner equipment mission outreach projects & annual blood drive.

The Church Library is located at the Faith Center Conference Room. The library holds a diverse collection of books, audio and video media, for all ages. A group of volunteers manage and maintain the collection which can be viewed online.

Quilters, Nalbinders & Prayer Shawls

Over the years, members of Trinity Lutheran Church have been meeting and sharing their love for the crafts. In 2014, 110 quilts were donated to Lutheran World Relief which sends aid to countries all over the world. Quilts are also donated to different fundraisers to support different programs in the church and in the community. Prayers shawls are handmade and prayers are offered for the recipient as the shawls is knitted, crocheted or weaved. They are available at the church and can be given to your friends or neighbor to remind them of God's blessing and comforting embrace.

The Quilters and Nalbinders meet Mondays at 1 p.m. and the Prayer Shawl group meets Thursdays at 1 p.m. You are welcome to join. Contact us for inquiries
